The cost of living is skyrocketing. At the same time, it's near-impossible to find employees. The question is: are you paying enough for your employees to survive? Are you paying enough for them to support their families (and pets)? Are you paying enough to retain your current skilled staff AND to successfully recruit new employees?

What's included?

  • You will enter information about your practice, your employees, and their wages.
  • You will email it to me, and I will enter the cost of living calculations for your area.
  • When I send it back, you'll be able to see whether each of your employees can support themselves on their current salaries (see screenshot).
  • Finally, you will be able to easily set goal wages to allow your employees to support themselves at a reasonable level.

What to do with this info once you have it?

You have to build it into your prices. (More on that later!)

What Is a Living Wage?

"The term living wage refers to a theoretical income level that allows individuals or families to afford adequate shelter, food, and other necessities. The goal of a living wage is to allow employees to earn enough income for a satisfactory standard of living and prevent them from falling into poverty. Economists suggest it should be enough to ensure that no more than 30% of this income gets spent on housing.1 As such, living wages are often substantially higher than the legal minimum wage."
